Celebrating that most ephemeral of the arts….Gardening

A gardener for many years, and now a garden author, lecturer, teacher and coach, Colleen Plimpton trained at the New York Botanical Garden and is the owner/operator of Morning Glory Gardens in Bethel, CT. She pens the weekly gardening column for the Danbury, CT News-Times. Her written work has also appeared in publications both local and national. She teaches at The New York Botanical Garden as well as in her garden; she offers a series of garden-themed lectures; and she is a garden coach.

What’s a Garden Coach?

A garden coach is part botanist, part plant nerd, part therapist and part cheerleader.

A garden coach is someone with whom you can bounce around your gardening ideas, dreams and plans.

A garden coach is a person who can show you exactly where to place the compost pile, precisely how to prune the hydrangea and what on earth to do about ravenous deer.

A garden coach is an individual who comes to your garden and shares her ideas, wisdom, and experience, and then gives you a handy-dandy list of to-do's.
